Even though this year's children's ministry track may not come with a special certificate, there is an incredible amount of fantastic content for you to enjoy. See below for the times and locations of each workshop.
Children's Ministry
In this track, leaders will learn how to evangelism to and with children, and how to engage in an active, vibrant children's ministry.
9:15 a.m.
Child Evangelism: This workshop compares the different kinds of evangelism, how to get the pastor and church involved, and an overview of effective techniques and programs for children's ministry. This breakout will be held in Helgeson, in the Herberger Suite, and will also be attended by the Adventurer leadership.
10:15 a.m.
Conflict Resolution is something we must be familiar and well versed in. Join the rest of the convention attendees in Terry Haws C as Stan Patterson shares with us.
2:15 p.m.
Involving Children in Mission: This workshop demonstrates why it is important to involve children in missions; lessons learned from mission involvement; and ideas for involving children in local missions. This will be held in Coborn, in the Herberger Suite, and will also be attended by the Adventurer leadership.
3:15 p.m.
Teaching Spiritual Gifts to Kids: God has given everyone Spiritual Gifts. He did not leave out our children! This workshop teaches leaders to help kids to know and understand their spiritual gift which will help them know how they can serve God the best. This will be held in Fandel, in the Herberger Suite, and will be joined by the Pathfinder leadership.
6:30 p.m.
VBS & Follow-up programs: This workshop provides an overview and the purpose of VBS; recruiting volunteers; budget; timeline, and the importance of follow-up after the end of VBS. This class will be held in Swisshelm, in the Stockinger Suite.
